Concluding Solace by Tahimek Concluding Solace by Tahimek
I would like to think of this acrylic painting as an antithesis to the much later abstract painting, "The Network." It's more calming, soothing, and simplified.

I named it "Concluding Solace," to reflect the distress I was going through trying to create a lively painting through improvization. Many hours and layers of paint were spent until I reached its final appearance. It was originally intended to be an objective, lively painting. However, I decided to stop forcing it to look the way I wanted it, and went along with the way the paint reacted as I progressed.

In the end, I found comfort...

The streaks were actually made by scraping away an overcoat of dark green, revealing the bright, vibrant warmth underneath.

Thank you very much.

Yes, I feel the same way. I have it hung in my bedroom, so whenever I need to get to sleep, I just stare at it...
